Live Blood Analysis
Live Blood Analysis (LBA), also known as live cell microscopy, is a practice where we examine a small drop of your blood under a high-powered dark field microscope that is connected to a screen. We take two samples of live blood and two samples of dry blood to look at the red and white blood cells, plasma, and other indicators to determine the health of your blood and your body overall.

Dehydration
Red Blood cells require a water membrane around them which holds a negative charge that allows them to repel each other to float freely in the plasma.
If there is not enough water in the system, some red blood cells are created without the negative ion water membrane causing them to stick to each other, limiting their ability to flow freely to carry nutrients and dispose of waste.
Shift in Blood PH
Blood is slightly alkaline with a PH between 7.35 and 7.40.
Acid foods, beverages and stress can cause a shift in the body's PH driving hydrogen away from the tissues of the body into the blood making it more acidic. Unbalanced blood PH creates a dysregulated system that becomes toxic and begins to "rot" and "rust".
Stress & Toxicity
In today's globalized world, chances are you are exposed to macromolecules that have a positive charge that could aggregate red blood cells, such as heavy metals, toxins, chemicals and pesticides, among others. Loss of Zeta Potential
Zeta Potential in the blood refers to the electrostatic interaction between red blood cells and its properties of dispersion. Loss of Zeta Potential simply means loss of dispersion capability that causes agglutination of the blood. Continued agglutination of the blood creates severe congestion in the system leading to chronic inflammation and degenerative conditions.

How is LBA different from a regular blood test?
With traditional medical blood testing, preserved blood samples are sent to a laboratory where it is analysed for cell counts and chemical composition. With Live Blood Analysis, we are viewing your blood within 20 minutes, while the cells are still alive. This means that we can not only see how many white blood cells you have, but how they are functioning too.

Does it hurt?
Not much really. I used a special lancet that quickly makes a very small cut and feels like a tiny pinch.

How long is the session?
Sessions are 1.5 hours in total. The first 10 minutes I take 4 drops of your blood. The rest of the session we look at the live and dry blood samples and talk about life style changes and protocols according to your specific needs.

Can children do a LBA?
Anyone can do a live blood analysis. With children it is helpful if they are not dreadfully scare of a "poke" and can hold their hand steady for 5 minutes while the samples are taken.
If this is not possible, there are other non-invasive tests available such as Mineral Hair Analysis, Organic Acid Tests (urine) and Qest4 Bioenergetic testing.

How do I prepare for the test?
It is requiered that you fast for a minimum of 4 hours before your test. As soon as we take the samples you can eat while we look at the blood. Plain water is ok to drink. If you are taking prescription medication you should continue to do so. Natural supplements need to be stopped the day before the test.

How often should I get a LBA?
Red Blood cells are produced everyday and chages can be seen pretty fast. If there is no serious concerns you could have a LBA every 4 to 6 months. If you have a chronic degenerative condition monthly sessions are beneficial to assess progress and supplementation.
